Biography

Maj Amanda Lois, MSPAS, PA-C is a 15-year practicing PA and proud member of the Air National Guard since 2019, serving in the New York Air National Guard until 2025 and joining the Virginia Air National Guard later that year. She served as Chief of Medical Staff for the 174th Medical Group in Syracuse, NY, where she led a multidisciplinary team of PAs, NPs, and flight surgeons, and brought proven leadership, innovation, and mentorship in both military and civilian settings. A former civilian contractor PA with AFSOC at Hurlburt Fieldin Mary Esther, FL, she is currently a full-time PA educator at the Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University PA Program (formerly Eastern Virginia Medical School) in Norfolk, VA.

 

Maj Lois serves on the Board of Directors for the Veteran Educators and Allies in PA Education (VEAP) SIG and is active in AAPA, SAFPA, NYSSPA, VAPA, the Veterans Caucus of AAPA, and NGAUS. As Junior Director-at-Large for ANG/AFRES, she is committed to amplifying Guard and Reserve PA visibility, strengthening advocacy, and enhancing operational readiness for the total force.

 

She has a lifelong connection to the military, as the granddaughter and niece of Air Force Veterans, the daughter of Navy Veterans, and the wife of an Army Veteran. Amanda and her husband have three sons who keep them busy and inspired every day.
