Biography

Capt Erin Schmitz is a native of Colorado and enlisted in 2002 as a Medical Technician. She cross trained as an Independent Duty Medical Technician in 2008. After graduating IPAP in 2016, she was assigned to Mountain Home AFB where she helped develop the initial framework for the Operational Medicine Readiness Squadron. She is currently the Flight Commander for Special Warfare Operational Medicine Squadron at JBSA Lackland. Her passion is connecting with patients and helping them make a plan to optimize their health. She has been married to her husband since 2005 and they have two children. They enjoy watching movies, eating ice cream and having dance parties together.
