Biography

Major Dominique B. Mercado, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C, is a Primary Care PA assigned to the Lackland Aerospace Medicine Squadron where she serves as WOMC Flight Commander in AFMEDCOM’s largest Operational Medicine Clinic with 10.5K joint ADSMs across 2 GSUs. She joined the Air Force as a Cyberspace Operations Officer and quickly set on her path to become a PA—best decision EVER. Her education includes a Bachelors & Masters in Cybersecurity from UMUC, Bachelor of Science & Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from UNMC, and a Doctor of Medical Science with a focus in Advanced Professional Practice from the University of Lynchburg.  When she’s not leading clinic operations with over 50 staff or personally delivering care to 1K defenders as the lead Arming and Use of Force provider, she enjoys spending time with her husband [David], children [“Tiny David” & Mia], learning new skills to expand services [and future financial freedom], and advocating for the PA profession! #PAsGoBeyond
