Biography

Major Brittany Schott Joseph, DSc, MSPAS, PA-C is a fellowship trained general surgery PA at Misawa AB, Japan. She received a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Southwestern State University and a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Savannah Georgia. Brittany joined as a direct commission in 2013 and has served as a Primary Care Manager in Family Practice at Edwards AFB California and Eglin AFB Florida. She additionally served as the Medical Element Leader for the 321 Special Tactics Squadron, Mildenhall AB, United Kingdom prior to being selected for the competitive general surgery fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas where she graduated from Baylor University with her Doctor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree. At Misawa AB, Brittany serves as a the only general surgery PA as well as the group Patient Advocate. She precepts multiple host-nation fellows and medical students and is involved in various wing activities. Brittany is the proud wife to her husband, Shaun, and the mother to three small children and two large dogs. She spends her free time involved in local athletics, church activities, individual tri-sports, and soaking up the sun at nearby beaches.
