Biography

Hi! I’m Jamie Virden, and I currently serve as a Physician Assistant in Warrior Medicine at Ramstein Air Base.

My Air Force journey began in 2009 when I enlisted as an Aviation Resource Manager, a role I proudly served in for six years before being selected for a Developmental Special Duty assignment as a recruiter. During that time, I discovered my passion for medicine and applied to the Interservice Physician Assistant Program, where I was honored to be selected in 2018.

I earned my Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and recently completed my Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in Education from the University of Lynchburg. I am also a Society of Dermatology Physician Assistant Diplomate, which reflects my ongoing commitment to professional growth and providing exceptional patient care.

One of the greatest blessings in my life is my family. I’m married to my amazing husband, Alex, and together we’ve had the privilege of calling several Air Force bases home, including Barksdale, Hickam, JBLM, JBSA, USAFA, and now Ramstein. Along the way, we’ve welcomed two wonderful children, Jack and Mila, who keep life full of laughter, adventure, and perspective.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities the Air Force has provided and for the chance to care for and serve others each day. Whether I’m working with patients, mentoring others, or spending time with my family, I strive to lead with compassion, positivity, and a genuine love for helping people.
