Welcome to the

Society of Air Force

Physician Assistants

We are a professional organization serving the needs of active duty, retired, guard, and reserve Air Force physician assistants. The mission of SAFPA is to promote quality, cost-effective, and accessible health care and to promote the professional and personal development of Air Force physician assistants.

Air Force Physician Assistants exemplify the diversity of their profession and are paving the way in several aspects of medicine. They are providing cutting-edge care to our Total Force, retired, and dependent beneficiaries across the globe. As PA’s, they have opportunities to practice their skills in a variety of specialties and roles. They can go on to attend doctorate awarding fellowships in Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and ENT. They are leading Aerospace research teams, caring for our aviators, building international health care systems and relationships and providing direct support for our Special Operations teams across the globe.

SAFPA Board of Directors (BOD)

Your SAFPA leadership is comprised of 15 voting and non-voting positions. Many of these positions are two-year terms and elections are completed annually. Each of the leadership positions have an active role in improving SAFPA as an organization and advocating for our Air Force PAs.

Feel free to reach out to anyone on the Board of Directors (BOD) for more information. We are always interested in more ideas to improve and if you want to be a part of the board, consider running for a position on the board.
